Even if you don’t think you need this… everyone can do with a little refresher. Here are some of our essentials for when it comes to going down below, that can help and guarantee to make it the best time possible for both of you.
Tip 1: Start Slowly
This really applies to anything sexual. Quickies can be great sometimes, but usually there’s no need to rush. Start with light foreplay (gentle touching and kissing, or maybe even throw in a massage).
Tip 2: Build Gradually
Don’t jump straight from a gentle back rub to diving in head first. Move closer to the vagina and start by using your tongue around their inner thigh and their labia. Build the tension.
Tip 3: Communicate
Know your partner(s) and read their reactions to what you’re doing. If they react well, keep doing that; don’t be afraid to just ask what they are into (this may be a conversation best had before or after).
Tip 4: Max Things Up
If something’s working, keep doing it, but don't focus on just that action. Throw in kisses and tongue flicks across all areas of the vulva.
Tip 5: Focus on the Clit
The clitoris can help vulva owners experience a lot of pleasure so pay particular attention to it - especially when approaching the big finish.
Tip 6: Include Penetration
Oral sex doesn’t mean you can’t do anything else. You may want to incorporate penetration to keep things exciting, whether this be with a penis or one of our toys. However, you can still have great sex without penetration, so you shouldn't feel as if this is a must.
Tip 7: Switch Up The Positions
Variety is the spice of life. Check out our guide of different oral positions HERE to see how you can keep things exciting.
Tip 8: Try a Toy (Or Two)
You can get tongue-tied, and you can also get tongue-tired. Toys can be your best friend to get your partner(s) there. There’s nothing wrong with a helping hand. We’ve selected a range of the perfect toys and lubes to help with oral, go check it out HERE.
Always read the instructions.
